While searching for the husband of one Catherine Laughlin, I discovered a Clarence P. Bliss who was involved in some sort of minor legal dispute with the Grover and Baker Sewing Machine Company. Apparently this person was Catherine's husband because the suit also named a "Harmony Laughlin," who would have been Catherine's father or perhaps a nephew. I have found no further information on this sewing machine company although it is mentioned in the Smithsonian Institution database.
