Around 1925, a massive migraton of Japanese came to Hawaii to work as field workers on the pineapple and sugar cane plantations.Chinese,Portugese, were already here at that time and had even intermingled with Hawaiians. At this the Native Hawaiians were in the majority,an estimated %97.The number of Japanese arriving was unpresidented to any other race that was brought in:and so began the begining of their reign of the Islands.
Angered by their so called unfair teatment during the War(thouh they were never detained here.Gov. John Burns,a white man ,told the US he'd keep an eye on them, and they were alowed to work as usual) they formed a group that is called the AJA-American Japan Association, and, bless their hearts, voted themselves into office(since they had the majority)appointed themselves to most of the City,State and Federal jobs, and have hired their own ever since.Of course in turn Japanese businesses received contracts, etc., and so they went on with their plan, and now we are totaly controlled by them. The United States of Japan.
On the ocassion that Emperor Hirohiro stopped over here, there'd always be a large procession of "Japanese Americans"greeting him, waving little flags of The Rising Sun,paying tribute to such an honorable man.
A few things that some people might not know are that in the 50's and 60's it was not uncommon for a help wanted sign on a Japanese owned business to read,'Japanese Only',and it wasn't for tourism reasons like what could be a possibilty now that we have so many Japanese speaking tourists that come here. This was way before that started. Many of hem are quick to let you know they are supposed to be 'harder workers' than the rest of us,which I've never seen evidence of . Generally stubborn, maybe, but not anything special.
During the attack of Pearl Harbor a Japanese fighter plane landed on the island of Niihau, out of necessity. He sneaked around and met a Japanese field worker, then the pilot and the field worker held the island residents hostage.
Finally, a large Hawaiian male made his way to the bunker area the Pilot was at wrestled the gun out of his hand. This is a documented incident.
In closing, the Japanese reign of power here has made it frustrating and hard to make a living. The Native Hawaiians population is down to record low,and are at the low end of the economic scale,in their own land. The rest of us have to get by what jobs are available in outside industry. The Japanese have handily blamed White America all these with their politics and slanted news articles.Senator Inouje, one of our senators here(and has been since for 20 years or more,a career politician)is a shining example of a propaganda artist, claiming to fight for Hawaiians when he's just trying to get them riled up at the US,which in turn secures creates more racism that only empowers him that much more.At the same time those State,City,Government jobs, business contracts, properties are still occupied entirely by Japanese, except for the token races they might hire as janitors and what not..Why is thst Inouje? What if you shared that with the Hawaiians and the others?Don't you think being given a chance for economic progress in the American system, the way it's intended to be,would help them to survive? But that would take the power from you and the Japanese voters who put you in every year, wouldn't it?
One thing a lot of people don't know about Hawaii is the people here, other than the Japanese, are not the types to complain, but the corruption must be overturned.I wish al this wasn't true, but if you ever come here you'll see that it is.
