Brave People of Nanking:
A survey was made from New York City to California, Australia, China asking people for their feelings about getting a sincere and unambiguous apology from Japan. As a result of the survey, I have asked my senator to introduce a bill into the Congress of the United States re. ;" An Apology from Japan" Now Japan hopes to be named as a permanent member of the UN Security Council. Further, I understand that Japanese texts are inaccurate representations of history. Should a government with a track record like Japan has, be a permanent member of the Security Council? Shouldn't a sincere and unambiguous apology be required first? Please express your opinion on getting an apology in a letter to the President of the United States and to Senator Rick Santorum (511 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, DC) saying that Nanking, China (and the world) need an apology now for the atrocities of Japan of the past. The letter need not be long or fancy. Should you not want an apology, please say that in your letter. This may be your last chance for the United States Congess to act on this problem.
Thank You [ and good luck ]
