Posted by annonymous why can't the japanese government follow the same example and take responsiblity and admit wrongdoings to the asians that they have wronged. and in responds to the japanese who say that they are not the only ones who commit violence like what they did in ww2 when they compare their history to the americans, chineses, and north koreans. exactly what are you trying to say here. first of all, whatever amount of people these groups may have kill, the vicitms were nationals of their respective country. not to say that this is a good thing, but it is clearly different than killing other people. if you do that, there is going to be problems. japanese can kill millions of their own people all they want, people of the world wouldn't care so much. but if you start killing other people, you got a problem. so you better take responsbilty for that kind of wrong or people would want to veagences. moreover, it is not just the amount of people that you kill during war, but it is the way that they are "KILL". first of all, if military units kill opposing military counterparts, that is accept because everyone can understand that people die on the battlefield. but i can't see the justification of killing great numbers of unarmed civilians. i think most cultures would admit that killing unarmed civilians, women and children who cannot defend themselves is just plain wrong and evil. and the japanese have done exactly that in ww2 in asia in great numbers. and on top of that, it is the cruelty that these civilians were killed. whats the point of decaptiating men in the millions and bayoneting women all over their body just to make them suffer after rape? killing is one thing, but why all the cruelty. are the japanese of that time especially demented and malicious or something? even elderly women were not spare those in 80s or above. man, now thats really savage for you. whats the point of wounding defenseless civilians and making them suffering a slow, painful and gruesome death? why would a person commit such creulty? what upsets most people is not that people die in asia in ww2. but it is the killing of great numbers of civilians in the millions and the cruelty in which they were killed. for those who would argue by saying look at other histories like american, chinese, north korean. I think few cultures have a history where so much civilians were killed at one time and the creulty in which they were killed. the common japanese response would be denial, or saying that other people have done crimes equally as bad in their own history to justify their crimes. but that is a very irresponsible attitude and untrue. the germans have done the responsible thing by admitting the cruel crimes that they committed and admit wrongdoing and guilt. the japanese on the other hand can't even get pass admitting that they even committed such crimes. such behavior only makes the countries who they wronged more upset and hurts present relations. one could argue that it was just that america drop the atomic bombs to punish japan, and it would've been alright if more was dropped. and japanese would've had no right to be angry because they commit even worst killing than what america did to them with the atomic bombs. since japanese shown no mercy in ww2 and cannot have sympathy, they should not have it in return for the atomic bombs.

why are japanese so irresponsible and do not accept responsiblity for their action and apologizes. the german government have accepted responsiblity for the damage they caused during hitler's reign, especially to the jews. they recorded the crimes under hitler's reign in their history books so their future generations would know this. germans did not try to "whitewash" and hide these facts.
