tire blow-out

Hi-A tire blew and the car went across three lanes in front of two cars which were able to swerve and then went down the bank and ended in a parking lot. This could have been deadly for many people. The tire was inflated properly. Is this "one of those things" or should I take action against the tire company. I am concerned about safety not money. June
