Engine Coolant Level Low

I have a 2000 Buick Lasabra Custom. The light comes on that says Engine Coolant Level Low and the plastic container and the radiator is full of antifreeze. Now it got so it stays on. Could you tell me if I need the Engine Coolant Level sensor or what?
