Posted by Xiani I stupidly assumed that this means that the other party's insurance was going to pay everything, then I stupidly autharized the body shop to repair before I read the appraisal carefully. So the car is now fixed but the other insurance is paying only 55%, and the insurance used only aftermarket parts in the appraisal. I'm dealing with my own insurance to get them pick up the other 45%. Meanwhile, is there anything I can do, either to make the other's insurance pay all, or make them change the appraisal amount for factory parts? Thanks!

I was engaged in a collision at an intersection - I was going straight and hit someone who was turning left from the other direction. Police report says it is the other party who was at fault.
