post repair damage

My 2000 GrandAm was repaired after someone backed into the rear driver door and quarter panel (other driver's insur paid @$3500 for repair). Now the automatic locks continuously keep trying to lock even after the doors are locked. My car is back in a different shop, they can't figure out what's wrong...just says its electrical. I just now notified my insurance co, they say I have to go after first repair shop because problem wasn't there after the accident and they say neither insur co (mine or other driver's) can help me. How should I proceed? Will appreciate any advice.
