Posted by Frank I have a 97 2Door LS and my transmission went out at 60,000 miles. I didn't have reverse or OD. I noticed a clanging noise when it shifted from 1st to 2nd. I hope this helps, Good Luck.

check out that link. That is my post. There are others posted about transmission problems. A friend of mine has his 2001 Blazer in the shop right now for the same issue I had. I recommend getting your transmission serviced, perhaps change your fluid. Also I add transmission "lube" that advanced auto sells, to help shifting.
