Posted by Relle His insurance company is State Farm. The so far estimated damage to the vehicle is somewhere around $2,000. The door has to be replaced. I would like to get a new door, but State Farm said they will only pay for a used one. Am I right to request a new door at the expense of State Farm?

My van was parked in the driveway in front of my apartment. It was hit by another vehicle (he didn't put his truck in gear) and collided with the driver door of my van. The impact was so great that it moved the van and it hit the curb.
