Venture won't start

Hello, last week I decided to put off for a day putting gas in my 2000 venture. The next day the van started and sputtered and then stalled. Now it won't start. I thought it was out of gas so I put fuel in it and still will not start. Put a new fuel filter in thinking it might have picked up a lot of junk. Still no joy. Does this sound like a fuel pump problem or is there something else I need to look at? Thanks.
