40g butter (1 & 1/2 oz)

Add cream and stir together until evenly mixed.
Put mixture in an 8" loose bottomed cake tin

: I grew up in the east and midwest and had access to
: wonderful bakery's. I have lived in the northwest for
: 22 years without finding any bakery that has the
: quality of those where I've lived in the past.
: I just loved a coffee cake called a
: "Meltaway". I'm sure it is a yeast dough
: with large cake like crumbs on top, ( not a streusel
: crumb topping ). Then a powdered sugar icing drizzled
: to top it off. It actually melts in your mouth.
: It may be a German or Italian recipe. I have found
: bakery's on line in the east who sell them, but I
: would love to make them myself. Please help!
