ISO: Chow Mein Noodles

Looking for a recipe for Chow Mein Pickles - contains thin strips of cucumbers, onion and green peppers, possibly a sweet brine. Contains mustard seed as one of the spices. This was popular in the 1940's - came from an agricultural magazine for women. I would appreciate any help! Thanks.
