I was looking for a recipe that my grandmother made when I was a child. She passed away when I was young and before I started to cook. I am now a mother of 3 and would love to make this recipe for my children. It is homemade chicken noodles. It is not a soup. She would make the egg noodles herself from scratch. I remember them being very wide and fat as a kid. They were in a creamy sauce with chicken chunks and shredds. I am thinking that she boiled and boned a whole chicken. It is the sauce that has me fooled. It was not thin like soup but not as thick as gravy. We would also have homemade mashed potatos with the homemade chicken noodle recipe. I am from a German backgroud so I was wondering if this was a German recipe. Can you help me?
