Golden Lemon Cake.
Filled and topped with
Lucious Lemon Icing.
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3 egg yolks
1/4 teaspoon lemon flavouring
1 & 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2/3 cup of milk
pinch of salt
Bake 25 mins.
1/4 cup butter
3 & 1/2 cups icing sugar
2 & 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon water
pinch of salt
Put in half the icing sugar and cream well
Mix lemon juice and water and add to creamed mix alternatively with the rest of the icing sugar.
Add the salt and mix well
Spread some of mix on one round of sandwich cake and rest on top. cheers Penny.
