Dear Casey:
Hello. I actually went to the University of Tulsa for my undergraduate work in athletic training. They actually have a camp over the summertime for high school students interested in athletic training. It is a great way to meet people and find out more about the field. Check into it by e-mailing robin-ploeger@utulsa.edu She is the AT program director and can give you more information. E-mail me back if that e-mail address doesn't work or if you need anything else. Good luck!

: Physical Therapy offers one-day camps for
: high school students wanting to pursue a
: career in Athletic Training. On November
: 13, 2004, from 12:00 - 4:00 pm, Excel Sports
: in O'Fallon, Missouri is having an athletic
: training camp. You can call 314-805-4627 to
: reserve your spot today.

: I am a junior in high school and want to
: pursue
: an AT degree. I know you are not
: automatically accepted but you have to apply
: for the program after your first year. So
: any suggestions on what I can do now to have
: a better chance of being accepted into the
: program when the time comes. Any
: recommendations on AT summer college camps.
: I see Ohio State offers one and Florida
: State. Any others that are good or even one
: day camps?
