Posted by Ron Torres I'm an alumnus of Cal State Hayward (B.S. Kinesiology, Pre-PT), but have been in the high-tech industry for over five years now (I know ... how? why? -- long story, had to make ends meet after graduation and was planning to take up my Master's in PT), but I don't want to wait any longer to put off working in the field. However, CSUH recently discontinued their internship program; so I am forced to go through a school that is accredited in AT. Closest one in my area is SJSU (Undergrad/Grad programs). I definitely prefer AT over PT, but would like to combine them eventually. I've already fulfilled most of the required courses as undergrad, but just haven't practiced them in a while. I just enjoy Athletics and being around it!; and I enjoyed and did well in the AT practicum courses as an undergrad! Question: Do you think I'd be able to satisfy most of the required courses from my previous undergrad? Or will I have to go through the whole AT course all over again (another B.S. in Kinesiology) or should I apply for the Master's program in AT at SJSU? Also, if anyone has any contacts out in the Bay Area who would be willing to take in an Intern (I understand I have to start from the bottom and work my way up) who is highly motivated! Kindly share the info :-) I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! --Previous Message--
