You have to be sure that the grad schools you are looking at are not for Entry Level Athletic Training Graduate Students. If this is the case, it is more likely the same education you had as an undergrad. However there are Master's Athletic Training Programs that are advanced and more in depth. In my personal opinion, these master's programs appeal mostly to those who have an interest in research in the field of athletic training. I attended grad school with a degree in Kinesiology and was able to do quite a bit of research. I guess it really depends on what you want to do. Graduate assistantships are a GREAT way to learn more and gain more experience. I fully benefited from my experiences. Good Luck!

: Hello. I'm a student that is graduating in May
: with a BS in Athletic Training. I have
: posted here before only to get minimal
: responses to my questions, but I'll take
: another shot. My question is for those ATCs
: who have gone to grad school- Do you find
: that getting a masters in athletic training
: as opposed to ex phys, or kines, or
: nutrition has been of more benefit to you?
: Or do you believe that any of these are good
: options? And if so, I have had some trouble
: finding schools with graduate programs that
: seem to work with getting ATC experience and
: your education. I was wondering if anyone
: has any ideas about how to go about talking
: to these programs about grad assistantships
: and working with your education wants/needs.
: Thanks
