I went to a DIII school for undergrad and then was a Grad. assist. ATC at a DI school. Both of my experiences were great. I think it is good to experience both. I think I got more experience being at a DIII school... was able to have a lot more responsibility and hands on experienc. Think of it this way, at the DIII school there was 1 ATC for football and 8 or 9 students, so we ATSs had a lot of responsibilty beyond just taping and water duty. At the DI school, there were anywhere from 4-8 ATCs and 7-10 students (just at FB), so students never got to do onsite evals. But if you want to work in the pros, you'll need DI experience so you can learn "the business of things." Who knows, your daughter may get there and hate it, so make sure whatever school she picks has a variety of majors she is interested in!
