POSITION: Center Manager Certified Athletic Trainer
New United Motors Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI) is located in Fremont, California (http://www.ci.fremont.ca.us/), which is 28 miles north of San Jose in the East Bay of San Francisco. NUMMI is a joint venture company with Toyota and General Motors (http://www.nummi.com/). The plant was originally a General Motors Assembly plant in the 1960s. It is now the only car manufacturing facility in California and is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2004. The plant produces the Pontiac Vibe, Toyota Corolla and Toyota Tacoma. The Work-Fitâ facility at NUMMI operates from 8:00 AM 8:00 PM, and emphasizes injury prevention and rehabilitation programming for employees at the plant.
Qualified applicants will possess the following:
1. Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training or its equivalent.
2. NATABOC Certified with membership in good standing.
3. Current CPR/AED certification.
4. Previous clinical experience with strong background in rehabilitation and injury prevention desired.
5. Management experience is required (2-4yrs).
6. Previous experience in budgeting and recruiting.
7. Computer literate, creative, flexible, demonstrate excellent people skills and the ability to work independently.
8. Strong interpersonal relations and strong business communication skills.
The position will be responsible for the following areas of operations:
1. Supervision of a staff of 2 Certified Athletic Trainers.
2. Prevention of musculoskeletal injuries through employee education.
3. Evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries.
4. Responsible for program outcomes.
5. Maintenance and security of patient records.
6. Equipment supervision and facility up-keep.
7. Maintain required safety standards for facility.
8. Accountable for the Center operating budget.
9. Ensure the approved protocol(s) as per the Center SOP are followed.
