I am working with a softball pitcher who has some sort of vascular compression disorder in her leg. She is a left handed pitcher and after she pitches a game her entire left leg swells and veins "pop out." Occasionally, she will have throbbing in the leg and must lay down and elevate the leg (sometimes in the middle of the game). In addition, she has ongoing hip pain and discomfort both during and after pitching. I am sure it has to do with the biomechanics of her pitching, but does anyone know of any treatment for this type of injury? Any help would be great.
