Thanks a lot for the response BHS! Well, I always wanted to go into the field of medicine. My mom is a nurse, but I don't think I really want to be a doctor. I love human anatomy, but not so much all the Bio stuff. I also love sports (football), so thats how I think I got the idea of being an AT. If you don't mind me asking you a personal question BHS, How did you get into the field, and how is it working out for you? Is the pay good? Do you enjoy your job? If this is too personal than thats ok. Thanks for the info tho, and I will get in touch with my High School AT immediatly. Thanks again!

: : Ooops - I'm glad to hear that you have an
: interest in the AT field. My first question
: would be: How did you find out about this
: profession? What is your connection to this
: profession? I would then suggest that if
: your school has a certified athletic trainer;
: you should be talking with them and possibly
: helping out in the training room.
: If your school doesn't have an AT, then I
: suggest finding one that does or call the
: nearest university with AT's and spend time
: with them. It's the only way to find out if
: you truly love the profession.
: Chemisty, Anatomy, First-Aid/CPR, Biology and
: physiology are going to help you the most.
: Good Luck!

: Hey everybody. I'm going to be a Senior in
: High
: School and I really like the idea of becoming
: an AT. I think I am pretty smart, but my
: question is "What do you have to be
: really good at to be an AT?" Do you have
: to know a lot of Bio, chem, Math?
: How much do you enjoy your job, and do you
: think it was worth it (schooling, choosing
: this path)?
: I'm thinking of MSU in Minnesota which offers
: accredited ATC, but I'm not sure if this is
: what I really want to do. I love the idea of
: an AT but I just don't think I really
: understand it.
: Any information would be greatly appreciated.
: Thanks!
