Posted by Lindsey on 11/24/2003, 2:27 pm I'm currently an undergraduate student and I need some advice on if it would be good to switch to the athletic training program. I'm currently majoring in Kinesiology with an Exercise Science emphasis. However, I will probably eventually go into Physical Therapy. I would really like to work with dancers and people in sports. However, after talking with some other students I've started checking into athletic training and it seems like it would be a good thing to change into the program that is NATA certified. Unfortunately, it would put me back a year or two since I would have so many intern hours to obtain. Any advice? Is it worth it for me to stick around and go for my ATC Certfication or should I just plan on going straight to PT school. Thanks so much.
