starter removal

I have a 1997 4 cyl nissan trk i tried to renove the starter. i removed the first bolt fairly easy after that, things went down hill. ispent 4 hours trying to remove the top bolt,with no luck.i cant see anyway to get to it. can you give me some input on this,
