I took my 1998 Pontiac Transport Montana to have the transmission rebuilt in September. I had to take it back 3 times because it wasn't repaired properly. Upon picking it up after the 3rd repair, it immediately began overheating. Could something that was or wasn't done during the repairs have caused the engine to overheat? If so, what could have caused the overheating? Also, how many miles can this car be driven while overheating, not steaming, just the gauge reading hot, before the engine heads would begin to warp? Thanks for your help.
