My goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mind HAS been wandering AGAIN!! SORRY for not being aboard for the latest musters. NO EXCUSE, SIRS! The weather in our neck of the woods has been unbelieveably NICE. Trees are starting to ALMOST show LEAVES. It is VERY unsual for this time of year. However, most weather SEEMS to run in cycles so I think similar weather HAS happened before. I will attempt to "rouse up" from my winter nap and get on the ball again! As our time IS growing shorter let's each TRY to report at LEAST once a week!(Sometimes I write a short note as a reminder for something I want to do and lay it on my placemat at the dining table. (We do not have an eat-in kitchen). As soon as I finish this I will write a note and use it often......I hope. God Bless all. Roy Brown

It is always good to hear from you Roy. It was great when subjects were put in here to discuss. I don't think I contributed to a lot of this. As we all are up there in the twilight years its hard to come up with them anymore or even contribute. I keep thinking of the poem Fran wrote as it hit all the basis of what the USN Armed Guard was about. I think it should go somewhere in our history for future generation. Maybe I'm off base. What do other's think??? ----Al

Al, I think you are right. The poem written by Fran is a real gem. Somehow it does reflect the lonely, sometimes anxious warches we stood in the Armed Guard. Fran, or someone, will you please offer a suggestion of how this poem could be savd for posterity??!! Roy Brown
