I and my wife Barb have lived in Eau Claire Wi. for the past 38 years. I will be 87 in July. I keep in contact with another A.G. Jim Robson. Health is pretty good. I worked for the State of Wi. for 32 years 9 years as a State Patrol Man and the rest as a weights and measures Inspect. We still live in our own home.
HI gerald. Thanks for the reply. I'm 86 years old. Married for 63 years to a great gal named Beverley. I Put in 9 years in the Navy 2 1/2 of them in the AG then 25 years as a Firefighter in Michigan, We moved to Texas for 23 years, then moved to Florida, been here for 14 years. Mym wife has relatives in Nekoosa and Port Edwards.
Thanks for the wake-up call, Bob. For the record, if my luck holds I'll be 86 in October and have lived alone since my wife of almost 60 years died in December 2008. My active duty time totaled a bit shy of six years, most of it as an AG RM and the rest as a Korean War retread. The greater part of my life was spent here in Los Angeles, where I worked as a newspaperman.
Reporting for duty! I was 85 on 12 May and my wife and I were married on 30 April 1949. We are very fortunate that we are still together. Our health is not too good but we are able to get out some and are so grateful for everythig we have. I was in the AG after signal school at Great Lakes. In combat the day before my 18th birthday. Many years later I served in the Indiana Guard reserve and retired as a Lt. Colonel I worked at several jobs...several years for the Navy Dept. here in Indiana. For a Daily Newspaper in Advertising for 19 years. Lived in Hagerstown, Indiana for 52 years. My wife retired from the Perfect Circle Corp. there. In January of 2006 our kids wanted us to move to Richmond, IN ...so here we are...two lucky old people still able to "git up and Go". I write a couple of columns for area papers and enjoy it very much. God Bless all. Roy and Mary Brown
