Hi gang. Back on March 21, Melinda started a thread about the letter in the Pointer about a new Armed Guard book. I have had several exchanges with Steve Myers, the author of the book. He actually posted a few times here, but he did that recently, and they were appended to the original thread, so I suspect that most of you never saw that. I suggested to him that he start a new thread so that it shows up at the top of the board.
Steve sent me a few samples from the manuscript, as well as a detailed synopsis of the book. It is a massive work (50+ chapters), and it appears he has done extensive research. I know he got some help from Cal Lloyd. Not sure when he thinks he will get it published, so hopefully, he will chime in here soon.

For All - "Armed Guard- War in the North Atlantic, Winter 1943" is finished in draft from cover to cover. I am making some revisions and hope to be ready for an agent's assist sooner than later (it all depends on when I find the agent). However, I am willing to share portiions of the MS with interested readers. My course of action upon a request will be to send chapters via email. Feedback then would be appreciated. This email address will be the pipeline. AVISO: I am relatively thick-skinned, so critiques are taken here in the spirit they are meant. I hope the same will be exercised by readers when they run across the occasional sailor-talk/expletives that salt the manuscript. In reality, that's they way the world is - and in war, things get hyper easily.
TIA. I will be in touch with readers who contact me.
