I just added a reply to an older post regarding ship logs and diaries. However, the topic, with my update, remains on Page 6. Do not all new posts cause the topic to be bumped to the top of the message board? Seems there will be little chance of a response since the orignal post is so old. One would have to read through the many pages of previous messages. Members who have already read them are not likely to go back through them again.
With this message board, additional responses remain with the original message and earlier responses rather than causing the thread to be bumped to the top of the list. You're right, people are unlikely to search for new responses to old messages far down the page. I occasionally look for those kinds of new responses but generally not beyond the current page. So, it would be better to start a new message and copy or summarize or reference the original message if you want your response to be noticed. Sorry, that's just how it is.
