Re: Benedict Lipp"
The information about him and his wife came from a Treasury Department USCG publication titled "Summary of Merchant Marine Personnel Casualties of World War II" published July 1, 1950. It lists Bendict Lipskas as the casualty and his wife as Claire C. Lipskas of Salem Rd. North Wilmington. The contact name on his 1940 Draft Registration card is listed as Fiancee Miss Claire Miron Salem Rd. North Wilmington. A Massachusetts marriage index shows a subsequent marriage of a "Lipskas, Claire (Miron)" in 1946. Funny part is that on the Draft Registration card, the name is Benjamin Lipp not Benedict Lipskas. In any case I believe I have located a daughter (from a third marriage) of Claire. I'm waiting to hear back. I'll update you with the final verdict when I reach it. Thanks
