If you live in the Tri-state Area and can make it. On Saturday, August 22 at 10 a.m. there will be a public ceremony at the base of the 149-foot tall Prison Ship Martyrs Monument in Brooklyn's Fort Greene Park paying tribute to America's First POW's.
Under this monument are the actual remains of 11,500 sailors, soldiers and citizens who were jailed and perished aboard British Prison Ships during the Revolutionary War. The event will include a Maritime piping ceremony, Taps, National Anthem, Navy Hymn and wreath laying. If you need more info, call me at718-833-4928.
