Armed Guard veteran Bill Minton survived the torpedoing of his ship off Australia in 1942. Television station KPTV in Portland, Oregon, showed an interview of him yesterday recalling that experience. See http://www.kptv.com/story/18414719/local-wwii-vet-honored-in-australia.

The video interview, while discussing the Liberty ship aboard which he sailed, includes a photograph of ... an aircraft carrier. Oh well.
