We ran into a severe storm in the North Atlantic, huge waves that were breaking over the bow of the ship. Two of our Gun Crew whose focsle was mid ship noticed the vent was open and leaking water on the topside of the room, and it was jamed open, they went up on the Deck to try and fix it and a wave swept them into the Ocean. By a Miracle the next wave brought them back on Deck but one landed with his head on the deck and had to be transported to a hospital ship.
