Oh, yeah, I remember the ditty bag and the hammock. Used the ditty bag constantly but only once the hammock. I don't remember where or when except we were in a really "warm" area and to cool off 2 or 3 of us strung our hammocks back aft for a night or two. (My memory is failing)!!!
My seabag became a "punching bag" for my grandson years later, I don't remember what happened to the ditty bag, My uniforms went to my brother who was five years younger than
I was. He served aboard the USS Union 4 years during the Korean War. They were in the assault on Inchon by General MacArthur.
