It was black cardboard that kind of had the shape of a book of matches but twice the size. You would hold it with your thumb on the bottom and fingers on top. On the front side was a set of louvers and when you squeezed your fingers the louvers would reveal white slots from inside. The back (opposite louvers) and showing toward your face was the alphabet with the Morse Code equivalent. Dad would bring them home for us kids in Brooklynt to play with.
