There are veterans, and then there are veterans. Those of us who spent three or four years in uniform long ago should be grateful for whatever benefits are still available to us. If the Navy will take my ashes to sea for disposal, that's the last thing I'll ask of my government. For men like Steve Myers, who spent their working lives in the service, quality health care is the very least the government should guarantee. I don't think we need be concerned about the care and feeding of members of Congress; they're looking after themselves.
