Tom and I were email buddies for about 9 years, up until his death in December 2007. He was my mentor in writing my books, especially the one manuscript that has been submitted for publication but not published yet about the Amred Guard and the Merchant Marine Ships they protected. He was a jewel among men. We never met, never talked on the phone, but I kept all of his emails as some were quite wonderful and humorous. Even after all this time I still think of him often. Prior to his death he "introduced" each of us to his other email buddies and I'm still in touch with two of them, Di in New York and Nadine in Cameret, France. One of the people he sent to "meet" us has passed away so I'm in contact with his daughter in Tennessee.
Thank you for continuing on his work. I see some photos I took of the Lane Victory in San Pedro, CA are on the web site.
