Thank you Don. Your post is a bit late to include in my just released book, but you can read about numerous incidents when U-boat crews actually provided assistance to the seamen from ships they had sunk in THE SINKING OF THE LACONIA AND THE U-BOAT WAR, Disaster in the Mid-Atlantic.
