There was a bill introduced in the House last tuesday that passed with a standing vote that would give all Merchant Marine Sailors who served between Dec. 7th 1941 and DEc. 30th 1946 a $1000 payment each month as long as they live, I urge everyone to contact their Representatives and Senators to change this bill to include the Armed Guard, we certainly were subject to the same dangerous conditions and recieved much less pay.
