Although it doesn't qualify as a movie, the recent Ken Burns documentary "The War" seems to be about as real a depiction of the realities of the war as you are likely to find. I found this to be an outstanding work, and replay the series many time, thanks to my wife who bought the CD for me.
Not at all the usual "modern day" anti-military crap that we see so often. This is, from what I have been told from those who were there, a real depiction of the life that our fathers went through.
To those on this board who were there, I can not thank you enough for the sacrifice you made to enable me to be here to post this message.
