I'm trying to find info on my grandfather Fredrick (fred) Surber a gunner??? I don't what ship or ships but I do know that he had sent my Grandmother a picture of himself during the war and they traced it to Italy???

Do you recall that name?? If so I would like to find out more info on things, my Grandfather never spoke about it.
