A second death notice in as many days, posted as always with regrets. Anthony L. Albanese, another veteran of the Armed Guard, died recently at the age of 83. Tony was born in Santa Monica, Calif., and enlisted in July 1943 in Los Angeles. He served with gun crews on two Liberties, SS Frank C. Emerson and SS William N. Byers, and USAT Lumber Lady. After the war, and study at UCLA, he spent 38 years as a telephone company engineering construction manager. RIP, Tony.
