My Dad was in the Merchant Marines from 12/31/42until he retired in 11/08/1973. He served on 8 ships from 1942 until 1947. He was on three Liberty ships,two Troop ships, one Victory ship which was sunk in the Gulf of Mexico,and two type cib cargo ship, Than he went to work for APL ship line in 1958 until he retired in 1973. He also served in the Navy..29unil 1939. The reason I have all this information on my Dad is because Mr. Tom Bowerman and Les Ellison help me locate my Dad and all this info,because of their help I found a family I never knew I had. Two Sisters and alot of cousins.Plus I had contact with my Dad before he died.This site over the Years has heled me in many ways
