I really appreciate all of you Armed Guard Vets sharing your memories with us. It means a lot to me, and I'm sure I speak for many others.

I don't think my dad talked about his time in the Armed Guard more than a total of 15 minutes. I was scared to ask him too much, thinking it would bring back bad memories of war. And, I think he mistakenly thought I was just disinterested.
