My name is Pete Veru and I am an American History Graduate student at George Washington University. My father served on the Lawton B. Evans in 1944-5. I am doing two major pieces on the Armed Guard as I think it is a fantastic story. I'm looking to speak with anyone who saw action in the Armed Guard at Anzio. I'm also looking for anyone who knows anything about the man who was responsible for the Guard, Captain Edward C. Cleave, USNR. Thank you.
