My Dad was AG RM2. In 1943, he went to radio school (Rad & Tel) for 16 weeks at Wentworth Institue in Boston. On completion he went to Merchant Marine Radio Procedure and Signaling school (MERSIGS ???) Norton Heights (Comm Pool)for 7 weeks before reporting to AGC Brooklyn for assignment aboard a Liberty. My Dad always refered to Norton Heights as signal school. My question is did all AG RM also go to signal school? Later, his service record indicates he served aboard a sub chaser where his duties included "communications radio operator and also did signaling visual"
