944 Headlights

Hi
my headlights on my 83 944 have gone on the blink, high beam works fine, but low beam and headlamp washer system has stopped working altogether. The headlights still pop out of the bonnet,fuses and relays seem ok. could be the switch and if so which switch main lighting switch or column switch i think my heads gonna explode
can anyone help me???
