Posted by Eric Lynch In deeper snow when it is more likely to bottom out... not a good idea to take her out. I drove a 944 and two 924s throught many winters and never got stuck... though I was not stupid to go out in the middle of a raging storm. But they never failed to get me home. They do just fine in a reasonable amount of snow with all season tires on it. Even better to put some snow/ice tires on it. The 50/50 weight ballance helps a lot.
: I have been thinking on buying a 944 85.5' and
: up. I live in Bend,Or, or central oregon for
: those who were questioning. We have long
: winters and I have been tring to find out how
: well they would work in snow. I have done
: alot of reaserch on them, and I would think
: they would do allright.
: If anybody has had any expirence with 944s
: and snow I would love to hear from you.
: Also if anybody interested in selling one for
: around 3 to 4,000 I could be interested.
: Thanks!
