: I have a 1985, late model, porsche 944 which
: has been sitting for a few years. A new
: battery was installed and when turn the key
: the car just makes a clicking sound. I
: brought the starter to a shop, had a new
: solenoid installed. The starter works fine
: when I put jumpers to it, but when installed
: just a clicking sound. What can I do to fix
: this problem and make the car turn over (and
: no the car is no siezed, )?
:
Check the grounds of your battery for corrossion, (with that I mean the negative pole of your battery to the car's body) also check the grounding cable from your starter to your car's body, and perhaps the new battery installed is just not "beefy" enough, install at least a battery of 45 ah.
