I'm an engineering student at Deakin University, currently working on a project to try to set up a rice milling and packaging plant in East Timor (theorectically at this stage), as a means to replace/reduce imported rice, increase economy, create jobs. Making East Timor self-sufficient in rice. However I'm having difficulty in acquiring the necessary resources to complete this, in particular the rice milling or hulling machines that may be in operation in East Timor, the type of production system that's operating in East Timor, the quantity of paddy rice produced, how much is lost due to poor storage, etc, government policies if any, production and storage of rice, the techniques used, the economics of rice production, and where can I get financial backing.
Where should I search for this info, and who to contact.
Your help is greatfully appreciated,
